“Hero Worship” is a form of ancestor worship where one worships past heroes instead of one's own ancestors. It is especially common in Heorot where the populace worship the Old Heroes.
Some believe that these heroes were gods walking the planet and others believe that they ascended to godhood during or after their lifetimes. However, the most common believe is that they were simply exceptionally powerful people and that their spirits are similarly powerful.
