Overlooking the ocean from atop a high cliff, it was built atop the burial site of Karvargr and the Blue Greatwyrm that killed him. Karvargr's Barrow acts as the economic center of the Federation of Heorot with much trade and commerce happening on its streets.

The city is also home to the Dragonslayers, a religious group that worship Karvargr and is bent on the destruction of all dragons. They hold service in the Dragonslayers' Den.
